About Me
My photography journey began as a 10-year-old kid and a Kodak disc camera. Three years later on one rainy day while on a vacation, I asked my dad to show me how his fancy SLR camera worked. So he gave me a 101 on the basics of photography. He was quite surprised that a 13-year-old boy would have such interest. Soon after he gave me my first SLR (a Nikon FE2), and my passion for photography from there.
My greatest photographic passion is landscape photography. I love being outside and I love the challenge of trying to portray the beauty that nature gives us, the patterns hidden within landscapes and the colors of the evening the sky. I believe photography is as much about seeing the unique elements of nature as it is capturing them.
Beyond landscape and travel photography, I also enjoy wildlife photography, macro photography and occasionally dabble in abstract photography.
I am a Fellow of the Dallas Camera Club and my work has been recognized in numerous awards competitions and published in various magazines and publications.
Outside of my photography, I live in Dallas, Texas, and I am married to my wife for over 20 years who encourages and inspires me in addition to helping me find some great photographic opportunities. I also have two dogs who keep me very busy. Professionally I am the Chief Marketing Officer for the commercial law firm of Gray Reed.
